Animal Aid secretly filmed at seven randomly chosen UK slaughterhouses between January 2009 and June 2010. We found widespread cruelty, suffering and breaches of animal welfare laws, disproving assertions that slaughter in the UK is 'welfare-friendly' and tightly regulated.
